Gimmie A Ring Sometime

All Wrongs Avenged!

Kenny Jordan was a fairly shy boy
And almost seventeen
He never found the skill for dating
It never was his scene.
But his best friend was throwing a party
There was no way to foretell
If the love of his life would find him
If he could only come out of his shell
And then it happened, he saw her
It stopped him on a dime
He timidly asked if he could call her
She said Gimme A Ring Sometime

Becky Thomas was the girls name
With eyes like a Carolina sky
Alabaster skin and raven hair
And lips of the sweetest cherry pie
They started dating and time flew
But it had to come to an end
But Becky was headed off to college
A loss he couldn’t comprehend.
He hoped that they would make it
Anything less would be a crime.
With a goodbye kiss and a wink of her eye
She said Gimme A Ring Sometime

If you take a chance to find romance
And love begins to grow
When your apart and love’s still in your heart
Don’t ever let it go

Becky came home with her bachelors degree
Kenny was a bachelor
Four years of holiday visits and summer breaks
Oh, how he had missed her.
They picked up right where they left off
Never skipped a beat at all
They shared a love that was endless
Now it was time for Kenny’s special call
The night was perfect, the stars were bright
Kenny got down on his knee
He said Becky it would be an honor
If you would marry me.

He place the diamond on her finger
Yes was all that was on her mind
With a loving kiss and a wink of his eye he said
You told me Gimmie a Ring Sometime.
