Many of the songs that Paul writes are spiritual in nature, with heavy Christian overtones. His topics vary from addressing social responsibility, spiritual neglect, a revival of the human spirit and enhanced faith. As a devout member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Paul expresses his love for Heavenly Father, his faith in Jesus Christ, family values and togetherness, and the Eternal plan of salvation to communicate God's love for us all. "What I find most fascinating about Black's music is his ability to write and perform rather eclectic types of music, and pulls them all off with style. One song sounds a little bit country, the other a little bit rock-and-roll, and many fall in between. But there are a few of Black's songs that are in a category all by themselves, and those are the best." Music Press America Paul's first album release, Eclecticity is in development right now and should be ready near the end of May 2009. As songs are mastered, we will be putting them in our download section so that you may enjoy them. In addition, Paul is working on an album for children with life-threatening illnesses, to be released in the winter of 2009. A native of the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland, Paul studied music and theater at U.M.B.C. (University of Maryland, Baltimore County) where he performed in numerous musicals and plays. He was even fortunate enough to have performed at the Kennedy Center with NBC soap star Crystal Chappell and film actor/director Robert Tyree (Crybaby). Although he excelled in the theater, his real passion was for music, and in 1991 began songwriting. Since then he has written dozens of songs covering a variety of topics and styles. For a time he took a break from music to concentrate on his family, and is happily married and has three beautiful children.
Paul's motto for 2009 and the remainder of his career is that he "Will Sing 4 A Cure" of pediatric cancers, specifically Neuroblastoma, that Kid's CancerVive For this year, Paul plans a schedule of at least 100 shows at various venues in and around North and South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.
